About me
My name is Miroslava Maixnerová, and I am a painter. I specialize in creating large-format commissioned paintings using dry pastels.

The delicacy and rich color palette of dry pastels allow me to create works that are both warm and dynamic, with a surface reminiscent of the softness of a tapestry. The style of my work is oriental, full of color and movement.
After creating a few sketches, I create the basic composition on the canvas. The ornaments then emerge intuitively as I work.
The mosaic - like structuring combined with abstract elements gives life to works of art, whose themes, thanks to the fact that most are commisioned, are focused on the persobal wishes of a specific clients.
The crystallization of my artistic style over the years has led to a highly structured, colourful and visually harmonious style. My goal is enriching, emotionally positive experience and the opportunity to search the painting endlessly with your eyes and find new, unknown dimesions. A painting from me must pique your interest. A painting by me must be enjoyable.
I draw a great deal of inspiration from my four children and the rich family life i enjoy. i create my art in my studio in our home. Together with my husband Jakub, a furniture restorer and architect, we share passion for art and the beauty of nature.
