Tree of Life

Tree of Life is a triptych, three separate canvases that only become one landscape side by side. A tree grows in the middle, made of tiny colourful fragments, with a river, a meadow and animals opening up on either side.

I put it together like a mosaic, piece by piece, until the fragments became a whole. The size is roughly 300 × 140 centimetres altogether across the three canvases, so it takes up a good stretch of wall.
